1. How do ceramic reed diffusers work?
Reeds absorb fragrance oil from the vessel and release it slowly into the air through a process called capillary action — the same way a plant draws water up through its stem. The result is a gentle, continuous scent that fills a room without any heat or electricity.
2. How long does a reed diffuser last?
Typically 3-4 months, depending on the size of the room, the number of reeds you use, and how warm or draughty the space is. Warmer rooms and more reeds will use the oil faster.
3. How many reeds should I use?

4. Where should I place my diffuser?
Near a doorway or air vent works well — gentle air movement helps carry the scent around the room. Avoid placing your diffuser in direct sunlight, which can degrade the fragrance oil and fade the ceramic glaze over time. Always place your diffuser on top of a coaster or pad instead of a wooden or porous surface. The oil will damage your worktops if dribbled.

8. What fragrance oils work best?
Lighter, alcohol-based fragrance oils travel up reeds most effectively. Very thick or heavy oils can struggle to wick properly. If you're buying oils separately, look for ones specifically formulated for reed diffusers.
